Things to do

You've done the temples and now you're wondering what else there is to do. Well, there is more to Siem Reap than meets the eye. From day trips in the surrounding countryside to adventure sports there is more than temples and bars. Here are just a few ideas...

Western Baray :
A truly Cambodian experience awaits beyond the airport at this 8km-long ancient Khmer reservoir. Scores of hammocks line the makeshift beach. Pack a picnic or buy local fried chicken and spend the day taking dips in the water.

The Tonle Sap :
is Asia’s largest freshwater lake and has shaped Cambodia rural life for millennia. Gain an insight into the fragile ecology of this natural wonder by visiting the Osmose Conservation Project website or taking one of their eco tours.
